"Intercultural challengers" in Mostar
On 20 and 21 November a concluding part of the contest “Intercultural Challenge” took place in UWCiM. The 11 finalist groups of pupils from across the country, together with their mentors and school directors, attended workshops and lectures on intercultural dialogue which were conducted by Mr. Dan Podjed and Mr. Boštjan Kravanja, teaching assistants and PhD Candidates in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, both experts on intercultural dialogue and working with youth.

Mirela Ivkić, Ismet Bahor, Ena Merić, Radana Perkanović and Darija Žilić, a winning team from Gymnasium “Vaso Pelagić” from Brčko won the first prize - a language course in a EU member state as well as enrolment fees sponzored by Education First language school.

“Intercultural Challenge” was a gymnasiums community-wide contest to encourage development of ideas in promoting intercultural dialogue and understanding among cultures. In the Intercultural challenge contest, which closed on 27 October this year, participated 246 students from gymnasiums/high schools around BiH.
